The layout is fantastic offering beautiful sunset views of the water, boats anchored in the harbor below, and the twinkling lights of St. Thomas. The villa has a courtyard feel lined with coconut trees and tropical gardens, the focus around the pool and outdoor patio and of course the view. The main living areas of the kitchen/dining and great room were open and inviting in a tasteful British Colonial decor as well as the bedrooms - just perfect for the islands. All four bedrooms were similar in size (two king & two queen), each with its own on-suite bath, comfortable linens and plush towels. The villa is essentially on one level with the exception of one bedroom. This made getting around easier for our parents who are having mobility problems and don't do that well with stairs. Air conditioning is available in each bedroom and main living area, but we never used it! And the washer/dryer were great options allowing us to pack less for the trip. Our family gathered here (parents, three siblings with spouses and two grand kids) and spent 10 glorious days. A rental car with 4WD is necessary to make it up the steep roads (and driveway). We visited a different beach every day and ended the afternoon with a dip in the pool. With two young children in our group, we chose to prepare most of our dinners. The only fault I can find with the villa is the condition of the cutlery and non-stick frying pans. It's curious how previous renters could use the very dull knives to make so many cuts on the non-stick pans - a problem with many vacation houses. Otherwise the kitchen was well appointed with high-end appliances and lots of fun glassware to make plenty of painkillers! All great things come to an end, but we certainly hated to leave!
