Villa Description
Creolla is what a Caribbean cottage should be - colorful, welcoming, and pretty as a picture!
The soft pastels and mahogany trim of this island-style house blend well with the tropical backdrop of the bordering National Park. Creolla sits on a one-acre ridge site. Pepper cinnamon trees and tyre palms provide a wild, natural beauty, as do the circling red tail hawks and curious bananaquits. A large deck with sunken jacuzzi and dining gazebo affords a breathtaking 180-degree view.
Enjoy the early morning gold as the sun rises over Coral Bay, the cooling midday view of lush Bordeaux Mountain.
Then enjoy a sunset over Pillsbury Sound which bathes the house in a rose light, and finally, the twinkling lights of St. Thomas at night.
Set on a one-acre ridge in the Bordeaux/Ajax/Mamey Peak area, Creolla is a two-bdrm, one-bath, child-friendly island-style cottage with a breathtaking 180-degree view ranging from Coral Bay to St Thomas. It features a sundeck with a sunken Jacuzzi, dining gazebo, a gourmet kitchen, open dining/living area, cable TV, DVD and CD players, laundry facilities, safe, beach coolers and chairs, a barbecue and mid-week maid service. The bedrooms contain one queen-sized and one double bed. Maho Beach is located one mile away.
At more than 1,200 feet above sea level, Bordeaux Mountain is St. Johns highest point. This neighborhood, located near the islands quieter eastern side, offers dramatic views of Coral Bay, St. Johns East End, Sir Francis Drake Channel and several British Virgin Islands. Bordeauxs elevation affords cooler temperatures than the rest of the island, making this neighborhood perfect for travelers looking for a place to escape the heat after a long day of beaching.
The vegetation is extremely lush high atop Bordeaux, a neighborhood where youll find both locals and rental villas. Bordeaux is just a five-minute drive to one of the islands finest restaurants, and a 10 to 15 minute drive to Coral Bay, where youll find more restaurants and shopping. The islands North Shore Beaches are just a 10 minute drive away, and the popular Reef Bay Trail is even closer. Access to the neighborhood can be difficult due to portions of steep, unpaved road, but Bordeauxs peacefulness and seclusion are well worth the drive.
